MATT- Permit
Actions Taken:
We had the initial building surveyor agree to hand over to us & Matt got him the sign the necessary “release” paperwork. We identified the most appropriate building surveyor from our network panel & had him counter signed it. He emailed it to the BPC & we were given permission to take over this project.
We answered Matts questions pertaining to building next to his boundary fence. We identified a potential issue being within 900mm of the neighbours house gutter, however, Matt promptly took some measurements & we found the whole project was going to be compliant (even before the permit application was submitted!).
We completed preparing the plans, had a review with Matt, then lodged a formal building permit application on his behalf to one of our experienced building surveyors.
Outcome:
The permit was issued 3 days after lodgment. In all, we sought everything out for Matt in 3 weeks. This basket case project approval was quickly put back on track much to Matts great relief. Matt was a champion client who was very prompt to review his plans & help us with any queries or critical measurements so it was a great team effort.

Initially I engaged an another provider to assist with a permit for my shed build. I was given the runaround and left utterly frustrated and more confused.
